Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising or third-party tracking. The order you are building is held in your own browser’s local storage on your device until you submit it or empty it; it is not a cookie, it is not sent to us until you press submit, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It is handled on our behalf by the services this site runs on:
- Vercel Inc. — Hosting and delivery of the website, and the function that sends the order notification. Servers in the EU and the United States.
- Supabase Inc. — The database the catalogue and the orders are stored in.
- IRAX’s own mail server — Delivery of the order notification and of any correspondence that follows it.
Where an enquiry requires it, the details needed to fulfil it — quantities, specifications, a delivery address — are passed to the mill, forge or carrier supplying or moving the material. Where a transfer outside the European Economic Area is involved it is made under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed — kept for two years, so we can see what was quoted if you come back to us, then deleted
- Orders and the correspondence around them — kept for as long as Irish tax and company law requires records of a transaction to be kept, currently six years
- Server records — kept for the short period our hosting provider retains them
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to our processing it on the basis of legitimate interest. Write to sales@irax.ie and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, dataprotection.ie, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963.
This notice describes the site as it stands today. If we add anything that collects more — analytics, a chat widget, advertising — this page changes in the same breath.
Nothing here should stop you asking
An enquiry needs a name and a way to reply to it. That is all we take, and it is used to answer you.
